Darwin Núñez and his Uruguay teammates have been officially punished for their part in the Copa América brawl.

The incident took place when Uruguay faced Colombia, and fans of the latter team were mixed in with the players’ families.

At the time, press reports suggested that Núñez may be facing a lengthy ban due to the severity of the incident.

The Liverpool man has been suspended for five games and received a $200,000 fine, while Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur has received a slightly lesser punishment of four games and a $160,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Mathías Olivera of Napoli, Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo and Josema Giménez of Atlético de Madrid have been slapped with a three game ban and a $12,000 fine.

The suspensions will be for international fixtures, and won’t affect their club games.
