Darwin Nunez headlines Diriyah’s star attacking trio as the promoted club opened their Roshn Saudi League campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Al Kholood.
According to spl.com.sa, all three recruits debuted on Wednesday night, with Nunez and Enzo Millot registering one shot each and Adil Boulbina two in front of new head coach Bruno Lage.
The spree began with Millot joining on loan from Al Ahli, fresh from helping the Jeddah club to the Saudi Super Cup and a second straight AFC Champions League Elite title.
Next came Algeria international Boulbina from Al Duhail after 12 goals in 30 games, including a hat-trick against Al Ittihad in last season’s AFC Champions League Elite, and he featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Finally, Nunez arrived on loan from Al Hilal after nine goals in 24 appearances, having also contributed as Liverpool topped the Premier League 18 months ago and reportedly attracting Europe’s heavyweights before moving to Saudi.
Nunez thrives attacking space rather than to feet, Millot operates between the lines with passes in behind, and right-footed left-winger Boulbina drives at full-backs to open lanes for the striker.
The chemistry will take time, but if this trio click, Diriyah could turn their first impression into something lasting in the RSL.
