Darwin Núñez ‘to join’ Fenerbahçe in Türkiye as Al Hilal make room for Benzema | OneFootball

Darwin Núñez is preparing to leave Al Hilal this winter, with a switch to Fenerbahçe in Türkiye likely. A Bola reports that the Saudi club must free a foreign slot to register Karim Benzema, pushing the former Benfica forward towards Istanbul.

The Uruguayan has lost his place and, six months after leaving Liverpool for Saudi Arabia in a 53 million euro deal, he is facing another move.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until 6 February, offering one of the few avenues available to him. The Istanbul club have also signed N'Golo Kanté in recent days.

This season for Al Hilal, Núñez, valued at 35 million euros, has made 22 appearances, 16 in the Saudi league, four in the Asian Champions League and two in the Saudi King Cup.

Across 1,487 minutes he has seven goals and five assists. His 2022 transfer to Liverpool brought Benfica nearly 80 million euros.
