Daryl Dike in talks over Orlando City return after West Brom exit | OneFootball

Daryl Dike could be set for a return to Orlando City, with negotiations under way over a free transfer, according to ExpressAndStar.com.

The 26-year-old was released this summer at the end of his West Brom contract after an injury-hit spell that included two ruptured Achilles, severely limiting his minutes.

He previously struck 19 goals in 41 games for the Florida club across 2020 and 2021.

Albion then signed him from Orlando about four and a half years ago, paying £7 million after he impressed on loan at Barnsley under then head coach Valerien Ismael.

Dike made 66 appearances for Albion, scoring 11. In a letter to supporters earlier this week, he described his spell as a period of setbacks and thanked fans for their backing.

Orlando are 12th of 15 teams in the MLS Eastern Conference.
