Boca and São Paulo will meet in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana quarter-finals, opening at La Bombonera before the return at Morumbi.

The federation announced that the first leg will be on Tuesday 8 September at 21:30 at the Estadio Alberto J. Armando, with the second leg on Tuesday 15 September at 21:30 in São Paulo.

The clubs last met officially in the 2007 Sudamericana round of 16. Boca won 2-1 at La Bombonera thanks to a Martín Palermo brace, then lost 1-0 away and went out on away goals.

Boca will be without Tomás Aranda, who fractured the right fibula in training and underwent surgery. His recovery is estimated at four to six months, ruling him out for the rest of the year.

Ayrton Costa is sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained against Racing and is also managing pubalgia, so he will miss several matches.

Agustín Marchesín, Rodrigo Battaglia and Adam Barreiro remain in longer-term rehabilitation. Malcom Braida, Marco Pellegrino and Leandro Lozano are in the final phase of recovery and could feature in this tie.
