Davi Santos made his senior Corinthians debut in a 3-2 defeat at Jaraguá on Thursday night. The LNF meeting in Santa Catarina was part of the fifth round.
The 19-year-old left-footer was sent on by coach Fernando Malafaia with seven minutes left before the interval. According to Meu Timao, he linked play with neat passes and broke up attacks, though he could not prevent the loss.
Santos, born in 2007, joined Corinthians for 2025 from Elite Itaquerense in São Paulo’s East Zone to bolster the under-18s. He helped that side win last year’s state title, beating Palmeiras 4-0 in the final.
His chance arrived amid absences and a lean group for Malafaia this season. For this trip the coach lacked fixo Caio Barros and fellow left-footed winger Kaio Lopes, who debuted earlier in the month then missed out after a Brazil under-20 call-up, which opened a place for Santos.
Corinthians have adopted a cautious approach to spending in 2026 and are backing their futsal pathway, with about 50% of the current squad developed at Parque São Jorge.
The result kept Corinthians ninth in the LNF on four points, and they could fall to 11th by the end of the round.
Santos could feature again on Saturday when Corinthians host Taubaté at 11h at Ginásio Wlamir Marques in the second round of the Campeonato Paulista.
