Everton will travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday, and the Toffees will be looking to extend their seven-game unbeaten run.
Ahead of the match, David Moyes has provided the latest injury update. The Toffees’ boss has confirmed that there are no fresh injury worries, but he is still missing six key players.
Everton enjoyed a ten-day break between matches and spent time in a warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
The likes of Iliman Ndiaye (knee), Orel Mangala (knee), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring), Seamus Coleman (calf), Armando Broja (ankle) and Dwight McNeil (knee) are all expected to be unavailable.
However, Abdoulaye Doucoure is available once again. The midfielder missed the 1-1 draw at Brentford last time out due to the birth of his son, but he is now back in the side and expected to feature tomorrow.
The 32-year-old central midfielder is a key player for the Toffees. He has made 23 appearances (22 starts) in the Premier League this season and scored two goals.
The Mali international will become a free agent at the end of the season, and the club has decided not to renew his contract.
Moyes also confirmed that Coleman is training with the team, and it won’t be long before he makes a return to the side.
The Everton boss said: “Yes [it helped the injured players]. We took all of the players. It was good for Seamus Coleman and Broja, in particular, Chermiti as well. They’re all getting themselves closer to getting ready to play again.
“Seamus is nearer [to being ready to play]. Whether he’s ready to be involved [now], I’m not quite sure yet. He’s still training and we’re obviously trying not to get him reinjured so we’re giving him every opportunity to make sure he’s fine.”
Everton fans will be excited by the news that Broja and Coleman are nearing full fitness, and they will play some part towards the end of the season.
Chermiti and Nathan Patterson both made the bench for the clash against Brentford, and they will be pushing for a start against Wolves.
