The prospective Wednesday owner has added a new ornament in his Chicago garden that Owls fans will enjoy
As the season draws to a close, there is rare positivity shining out of Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls have been in administration since late October, when Dejphon Chansiri finally relinquished his position as the owner of the club, following years of financial mismanagement which had escalated to near-fatal levels in the final few months.
The last six months have still been turbulent for Sheffield Wednesday, as the initial preferred bidder, James Bord, pulled out of negotiations three months following his status being confirmed. That led to Arise Capital Partners, led by David Storch, being announced as the new preferred bidder in March.
The target for a takeover to be completed is May 1st, as that would avoid starting a seventh month in administration and the jurisdiction process moving from the EFL to the new Independent Football Regulator. Administrator Kris Wigfield was positive on social media last Friday that things were heading "in the right direction."
There seems to be a real commitment from all involved parties to ensuring that the process is completed by next Friday, and David Storch has emphasised that dedication on X today.

Taking to X on Monday afternoon, prospective Sheffield Wednesday owner David Storch reaffirmed his love for the club, and showed how it has spilt into his living arrangements in his home across the Atlantic in Chicago.
Storch posted a photo of an Owl garden ornament, captioning the post, "Newest addition to our family in Chicago #swfc," and Wednesday fans are delighted with his love and commitment to the club.
"He's got the #swfc bug already, and I love it," wrote one fan. "Love it, David," said another.
It's safe to say that Sheffield Wednesday fans have waited quite a while to have an owner who cares so much about the club, and it's almost surreal for them to see this from someone who isn't even officially through the door just yet.
Hopefully, all going well, David Storch's admiration of the club can be legitimised by being finally named as the new owner in less than two weeks.

A lot of the posts and fan interactions that David Storch is having with fans in the lead-up to hopefully being announced as the new owner shortly could be seen as slightly performative, but Wednesday fans are rapidly growing to like him, and there's been a little upturn in the atmosphere surrounding the club off the back of it.
The Owls haven't lost in their last three games, putting up a spirited performance against Premier League-bound Coventry City in between 1-1 draws with Leicester City and Charlton Athletic, and the belief surrounding Hillsborough is a lot more palpable than it has been throughout the season so far.
Wednesday is still likely to start next season with a 15-point deduction, as stated by Storch last week, but you get the feeling that, even with the high possibility that next year could end in relegation to League Two, the hope is there to overturn that deduction pretty quickly and stave off the fourth tier, even with that deduction.
What's certain is that, with David Storch at the helm, he'll do everything possible both on and off the field to put the club in the best possible place to begin next season on the front foot, which is something that Wednesday fans clearly appreciate.
There will still be worrying times ahead, but with the turbulence that the club has had to endure over the past few years, those at Hillsborough will be ready to get behind the new faces at the club and help them keep the club competitive.
