David Weir is named Sporting Director of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace | OneFootball

Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace announces the appointment of David Weir as Sporting Director, effective this Saturday, November 1st.

The arrival of a recognized sporting director is part of Racing’s commitment to strengthening the structure of its sporting department.

Before taking up his position in Strasbourg, David Weir held the position of Technical Director at Brighton & Hove Albion until last September, where he contributed to the implementation of a high-performing organization.

A former Scottish international defender (69 caps, more than 600 professional matches, notably at Everton and Glasgow Rangers), he had an exemplary playing career before successfully transitioning into technical and sporting management.

This appointment aims to support Racing’s progress with consistency and ambition.
