Norwegian Hamburg left-back David Wolfe has hailed Benfica duo Fredrik Aursnes and Andreas Schjelderup.

"They are two fantastic players and two fantastic lads. I am happy they are showing their quality and I completely understand why Benfica fans like them so much," he told Record.

Torbjorn Heggem, a 27-year-old centre-back who started against Portugal on Sunday, also praised the pair. "I think both played very well. Aursnes at right-back was excellent. He is versatile and can play anywhere," he said.

"And Schjelderup on the right instead of the left too. You could see the understanding between them down the right flank, so they put in a good display together and they are also playing well in the league."

After two home dates, the Norwegian Benfica pair could feature away to Wales on 1 October at 19:45, then in Portugal on 4 October at 19:45 at the Estádio do Dragão.

Following the FIFA window, both return to the Estádio da Luz, where Benfica face Vitória de Guimarães on Sunday 11 October at 18:00. The match is part of the eighth round of the Liga Portugal Betclic against Tiago Margarido's side.
