Kevin De Bruyne’ made his 400th City appearance. in the 4-1 win over West Ham.
The Belgian is the 15th man to reach that figure in the Club’s long and illustrious history and does so in his 10th campaign at the Etihad.
With 16 major trophies as a City player, the 33-year-old is one of the most decorated men in our history.
That trophy haul has comprised of six Premier League titles, five League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields and a Champions League success.
De Bruyne is also one of just 19 men to have 100 goals for the Club, with 104 goals to his name so far.
However, as one of the most creatively gifted footballers ever to ply their trade in English football, De Bruyne has always prided himself on his assists record - and typically, he marked his 400th game with an assist for Phil Foden.
He has now laid on 166 goals for his team-mates across all competitions, including 116 in the Premier League.
That has made him the second most productive assist supplier in Premier League history in just 272 appearances.
He became the quickest man ever to 100 Premier League assists in April 2023, needing just 237 games and smashing Cesc Fabregas’ record by a whopping 56 games.
De Bruyne is also the only man to have won the Premier League’s Playmaker of the Season award more than once since it was introduced in 2017.
Our man has earned the prize on three separate occasions – providing more assists than anyone else in 2017/18, 2019/20 and 2022/23.
After signing in 2015, De Bruyne’s key contribution in his first season saw him score the vital goal to take us to the Champions League semi-final.
That earned him the first of four club Player of the Year awards in his very first season at City.
Pep Guardiola’s arrival the following summer saw De Bruyne step up again and he has since proved a key figure in the dominant side in English football.
2017/18 was his busiest season in a City shirt, making 52 appearances in total as we became the only side ever to register 100 points in a single Premier League season.
The 2022/23 European Treble-winning term saw De Bruyne play 49 times and supply a jaw-dropping 31 assists to his team-mates.
His form has earned him a spot in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year in five of the last seven seasons.
Only Bernardo Silva has featured more under Guardiola than De Bruyne since the Catalan moved to Manchester.
Injuries have affected his availability in the last couple of seasons, but his return in January was a pivotal catalyst in our record fourth successive top-flight title last season.
Earlier this month he made his first start since September and put in a Man of the Match showing against Nottingham Forest to give fans a reminder of what we miss without the talismanic midfielder in our side.
Now, almost 10 years on from first joining the Club, he joins an exclusive club to play for City 400 times.
Congratulations to Kevin on this latest landmark in an exceptional career.
