Flamengo travelled to Belo Horizonte on Saturday night to face Atlético-MG on Sunday at 20:30 in the 13th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with four players unavailable.
According to Globo.com, Leonardo Jardim has left De la Cruz out because of the synthetic surface, mindful of the Libertadores in midweek. The Uruguayan generally avoids such pitches due to a chronic knee issue.
Paquetá and Pulgar are also out. Paquetá has no clear return date and is doing internal physiotherapy. Although the player is optimistic, the club is more cautious. He sustained an oedema in his left thigh against Bahia, with no knee injury.
Pulgar could be included against Estudiantes in the Libertadores, but he has not yet trained with the group. He would miss this league game regardless through suspension. He is recovering from an acromioclavicular joint injury to his right shoulder, and Carrascal is suspended.
Flamengo are second in the Brasileirão on 23 points. Leaders Palmeiras are on 29 and have played one game more.
