Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to join Juventus, with an agreement in place between the two clubs and his agent.
Sancho has been on the hunt for a new team after Chelsea elected not to make his signing a permanent one. He spent the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign with the Blues but endured a mixed spell and after refusing to agree to a pay cut to fit their wage structure, Chelsea sent him back to United.
Enzo Maresca’s side paid a £5m penalty fee for abandoning their obligation to buy Sancho permanently.
Sancho has since been linked to several clubs including Napoli, West Ham, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Aston Villa and the Saudi Pro League, but over the past few weeks, Juventus appear to have been making the strongest advances to secure his signature.
A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the 25-year-old had had positive talks with Juventus over the possibility of joining their ranks.
There were even suggestions that Sancho was prepared to reduce his salary expectations to get a deal over the line and escape hell at Old Trafford. United are believed to value the player at around £20m to £25m.
Club-to-club talks have been taking place, with all parties determined to find a solution. It was even claimed that Juventus had proposed to include midfielder Douglas Luiz as part of the deal. Luiz has been mentioned as a person of interest to United, with the middle of the park an area of the pitch that Ruben Amorim is also keen to strengthen.
Now, an update has emerged and if it is to be believed, it looks like United and Sancho are on the verge of cutting ties for good.
According to Radio CRC journalist Marco Giordano, everything is in place for Sancho to move to Juventus.
Giordano wrote on X, “Sancho-Juve have never been so close.”
“Deal completed, the player will be bianconero barring complications, which, at the moment, are not foreseeable.”
“25 million valuation, everything settled with United and the Englishman’s agent.”
That said, it’s important to wait for this information to be confirmed by more reputable sources, as some Italian journalists have been known to jump the gun when it comes to United transfer news.
