Who’ll receive your vote for December’s Etihad Player of the Month award?
Manchester City enjoyed a fantastic three weeks before the winter pause in action with Andrée Jeglertz’s side winning each of our three assignments across all competitions.
Victories over Leicester and Aston Villa maintained our at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table - six points clear of second place Chelsea.
And we closed the calendar year with an emphatic 5-1 win away at West Ham which booked our place in the Subway Women’s League Cup semi-finals.
It was another superb month by the Blues which was packed with a swathe of magnificent individual displays – but who do you feel deserves December’s Etihad Player of the Month prize from our three-player shortlist?
Voting is now open, with the winner announced next week!
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw reached new heights for City during December as she became the first player in Club’s history to reach and then surpass 100 goals for our women’s team.
She began the month by scoring twice and registering the assist for Kerolin’s strike in our late 3-0 win at Leicester.
The Jamaican netted on 74 and 83 minutes to give us a commanding lead at the King Power Stadium which raised her Blues tally to 99 before she played a precise pass for the Brazilian to collect, drive into the box and slot home.
Bunny then plundered her 100th in our next assignment with our opener against Aston Villa when she met a Vivianne Miedema cross and directed the ball into the bottom corner.
She then doubled our advantage on the cusp of half-time, and with City leading 4-1 approaching the final 10 minutes, she scored twice more to collect the match ball and round off a memorable afternoon for the striker.
Shaw then signed off from 2025 with a looping header in our 5-1 win over West Ham in the League Cup to raise her personal December tally to seven goals across three games.
Miedema marked December with three goal involvements in two WSL outings.
After helping us to the victory over Leicester at the King Power Stadium, she was instrumental in the 6-1 triumph over Aston Villa a week later.
The Netherlands international’s accurate cross from the left wing saw Bunny volley home the latter’s 100th City goal, but her assist for Aoba Fujino was arguably the pick of the pair.
Collecting the ball just inside the Villans’ half, she swept an inch-perfect cross-field ball into the Japan internationals path before the latter fired our third into the back of the net.
Miedema then showcased her poacher’s instinct as Fujino returned the favour by sliding the ball across the goal line – allowing the Dutch forward to tuck into an empty net for her fifth goal of the season.
Skilful Brazilian forward Kerolin returned from injury in December and delivered three impressive displays.
She injected fresh life into our attack at Leicester when coming onto the pitch for the final 20 minutes at the King Power Stadium as she provided Bunny’s opener just four minutes after her introduction.
Following Shaw’s second, Kerolin then marked her return with a deserved goal when she raced into the box and dispatched into the bottom corner.
The 26-year-old assisted Bunny’s third against Aston Villa before producing a standout display in the League Cup triumph over West Ham.
Playing in a fluid bank of three in attack with Lauren Hemp and Grace Clinton, she opened the scoring at the Chigwell Construction Stadium when latching onto a saved Shaw shot to slam home.
That represented her final goal contribution against the Irons, but she was a constant thorn in the hosts’ side across the quarter-final clash.
