Fran Navarro settled the game in the 24th minute with a close-range left-footer from a set piece, as Braga beat Moreirense 1-0.
Navarro reacted first to a second ball and guided his finish into the bottom left (24.), punishing a scrambled clearance and giving the visitors control.
He threatened again before the interval, linking with Pau Victor to draw a sharp save from André Ferreira with a rising effort from the centre of the box (38.).
The forward finished with two attempts, both on target, six touches in the box and 16 accurate passes, underlining how he occupied central spaces and kept Braga's attacks alive around the penalty area.
With Braga's set-piece delivery and repeated occupation of second phase zones, Navarro's movement around the six-yard line continually unsettled Moreirense and ensured the visitors dictated the key moments.
Braga host Real Betis in the Europa League next, while Moreirense visit Famalicão in Liga Portugal.
