Ludovic Ajorque opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a towering header, setting Brest on their way to a 2-0 win over Marseille. He added a second (29.) to put the game out of reach.
His first arrived from the centre of the box, the forward rising above his marker to glance the ball into the top left. That early strike gave Brest a platform and forced Marseille to chase.
Then he doubled the lead, guiding in Hugo Magnetti's whipped delivery after Les Olympiens had conceded a free kick. From there, Brest could funnel attacks through their target man and play off second balls.
Ajorque stayed dangerous before the interval, crashing the bar with a left-footed effort (41.). After the restart he remained a set piece threat, seeing another header blocked (56.).
The 31-year-old finished with five attempts, all from inside the box, and nine aerial duels won. He also logged seven touches in the area, underlining how his presence pinned defenders and let Brest control key moments despite long Marseille spells on the ball.
Brest climb from 12th to 11th in Ligue 1 and visit Metz next. Les Phocéens host Lyon in their next league fixture.
