Kévin Danois set the tone in the fourth minute by winning a free kick on the left and kept feeding the box as Auxerre drew 0-0 with Paris FC. His left-sided service dictated where the game was played.

Operating on that flank, Danois stitched attacks together before the interval with crisp distribution, completing 20 of 22 passes and eight into the final third to keep Auxerre progressing up the pitch.

After the restart, his corner found Lassine Sinayoko for a central header that flew wide (74.). Moments later, another Danois cross located Sékou Mara, whose effort also missed the target (81.). His final delivery again picked out Sinayoko in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time, but the header cleared the bar.

The numbers underline his influence: four key passes, six accurate crosses from eight and one big chance created. He also won possession five times, made two tackles and, across 70 touches, completed 19 passes in the final third to keep Paris FC pinned back.

Given the space to operate wide, Danois repeatedly attacked early crossing lanes, ensuring Auxerre carried the game's main threat from his channel.
