Joe Hugill opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a left-footed finish and later set up the clincher, as Kilmarnock beat Livingston 2-0. It was his first goal for the club.
Early on, he dragged a right-footed shot wide from the centre (1.). He then glanced a header off target (20.). Moments later, he found room to sweep in the opener from close range (25.).
After the restart, he led a break and slipped the final pass for Findlay Curtis to convert from the middle of the box (77.).
Hugill finished with three attempts, two key passes and nine touches in the area. He also won the ball five times, underscoring how he occupied defenders and kept Livingston pinned back.
Because he continually attacked space across the front line and offered runs in transition, Kilmarnock always had a direct outlet and the visitors' back line struggled to settle.
Kilmarnock visit Hibernian next. Livingston host Hearts.
