Decisive figure fires Kasımpaşa to victory from range | OneFootball

Irfan Kahveci decided it in the 60th minute with a left-footed strike from distance, giving Kasımpaşa a 1-0 win over Alanyaspor.

Before the break, Kahveci was already dictating. He swung in a dead-ball that Nicholas Opoku headed narrowly wide and drew a strong save with a rising effort from outside the box.

The winner came after a corner was only half cleared. Kahveci collected on the right, opened his body and bent a low shot into the far corner from long range.

After the restart he kept Alanyaspor pinned back. He won a free-kick on the right (76.) and soon after flashed another effort over from distance (78.). He then drew one more foul in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time to help see it out.

Kahveci finished with four attempts, two on target, all from outside the box, plus five fouls won and 10 possessions regained. The volume of touches and duels he took on showed how he linked phases and tilted territory towards the hosts.

Kasımpaşa visit Başakşehir next in the Süper Lig. Alanyaspor head to Beşiktaş in the Türkiye Kupası quarter-finals.
