Tawanda Maswanhise converted a penalty in the 37th minute and added a second after the restart as Motherwell beat Dundee Utd 2-0.
He won the spot kick himself, drawing the foul before VAR confirmed the decision, then buried his finish low into the bottom left (37.).
After the restart he struck again from the right side, guiding a low effort into the bottom right from Elliot Watt's set piece (46.). The goal left the Arabs chasing.
Maswanhise finished with four attempts, three on target, seven touches in the box and five possessions won, plus a penalty won, underscoring a complete forward display.
Because Motherwell fed him early and leveraged Watt's dead ball quality, his runs between centre back and wing back repeatedly unsettled United and kept the visitors pinned.
He is now top of the Scottish Premiership scoring chart on 16 goals. Motherwell visit Dundee next, while United host St Mirren.
