Dennis Man settled it in the 76th minute with a right-footed finish after a corner, giving PSV a 2-1 win at Groningen.
On as a substitute for the final half-hour (59.), Man immediately offered direct running and penalty-box presence. He first forced Etienne Vaessen into a save from close range, then stayed alive to convert moments later (76.).
His impact was efficient and tidy. The Romanian forward registered two attempts, both on target, and completed all 10 passes, including three in the final third. He also made three recoveries, plus a tackle won and an interception, pinning Groningen back when PSV pushed the tempo.
The winner came because he attacked second balls inside the six-yard area, exactly where Groningen struggled to clear after corners. That penalty-box movement gave PSV a focal point and tilted the decisive moments their way.
PSV visit Volendam next. Groningen host Utrecht.
