Ivor Pandur turned the night in the 56th minute with a penalty save, setting up Hull City's 2-0 win over Wrexham.
Before the break, Pandur's composure helped settle Hull, with 19 accurate passes and tidy distribution from the back that kept Wrexham at arm's length.
The game's hinge came when the goalkeeper dived low to his left to parry Kieffer Moore's spot kick in the 56th minute. Hull then capitalised as their advantage was doubled soon after (67.), the save preserving control at a key moment.
Pandur finished with one penalty save, one high claim and 31 accurate passes from 49. The Croatia international's clean handling and tempo-setting distribution ensured Hull played from strength once they were in front.
Hull climb from 12th to 6th in the Championship and visit Millwall next. Wrexham host Watford next.
