Decisive figure lifts Arouca with go-ahead header | OneFootball

Alfonso Trezza Hernandez settled the game with a close-range header in the second half as Arouca beat Tondela 3-1.

In the 13th minute, the Uruguayan attacker tested the goalkeeper from the left side of the box, signalling his threat early.

He then slipped a pass that led to a team-mate striking the bar (23.), and later delivered a cross from a corner that was headed just wide (70.).

Trezza made the decisive intervention with a glancing header from very close range (77.). He finished with four attempts, two on target, two chances created and three successful dribbles, a blend of end product and craft.

Because he repeatedly received the ball in advanced wide areas and attacked the near post on set pieces, his movement kept Tondela's back line unsettled, reflected in seven touches inside the box.

Arouca end the Liga Portugal campaign eighth, while Tondela finish 17th in the relegation places.
