Cyle Larin headed in the first minute of second half stoppage time to secure Southampton a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion.
Introduced at the interval, the forward first forced West Brom back by winning a free kick in the attacking half (86.).
He then timed his run to meet Samuel Edozie's cross, guiding a header into the top left to level deep into added time. Moments later he had another effort blocked as Saints kept the pressure on.
Larin's imprint was clear: two attempts, four touches in the box and five possessions won, plus seven of eight passes completed, showing a blend of penalty box presence and graft that the hosts struggled to contain.
With Saints' wide supply finding him early, his movement pinned centre backs and gave the visitors a focal point that Southampton maximised late on.
The Saints rise from eighth to seventh and visit Coventry next. West Brom host Hull next.
