Kamory Doumbia hauled Brest level in the 18th minute with a composed finish, shaping a 2-2 draw against Toulouse. The Malian playmaker now has two Ligue 1 goals, second in the scoring chart.

Doumbia timed his run into the centre of the box and swept into the bottom right corner after a corner was recycled, a cool, early equaliser that settled Brest and tilted the midfield battle their way.

Before the interval he was inches from a second, rising to glance a header against the bar in first half stoppage time, a sign of how often he found space between Toulouse's centre-backs.

He finished with two attempts, one on target, and completed 23 of 24 passes. Four fouls won, five possession regains and two interceptions underlined how he combined craft with bite in central areas.

Because Brest kept their attacking midfield close to the striker and recycled set pieces quickly, Doumbia repeatedly received between the lines. His neat touches and forward passing kept Toulouse retreating and ensured the hosts controlled key phases.
