Afonso Sousa settled the game in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time with a right-footed finish, giving Samsunspor a 2-1 win over Eyüpspor.
Introduced in the 69th minute, the Portugal midfielder immediately connected attacks between the lines, completing 18 of 19 passes and delivering five crosses to pin Eyüpspor back.
He kept play in dangerous areas with 16 successful final third passes and three touches in the box. Then he arrived onto Emre Kilinc's pass to sweep home in added time.
He also contributed without the ball, winning possession twice and making one interception as Samsunspor's 69.9% possession gave him constant angles to receive and progress.
Samsunspor host Beşiktaş next, while Eyüpspor visit Fatih Karagümrük.
