Ivan Perišić bent in a corner in the 15th minute to set up the breakthrough, and PSV beat FC Twente 5-1 at the Philips Stadion. His supply line set the tone for the game.
Perišić's outswinger dropped perfectly for Ryan Flamingo to glance home, a routine that immediately put Boeren in control of territory and tempo.
After the restart he struck again, sliding a neat pass for Dennis Man to sweep in from the right side of the box (53.). The second assist killed Twente's momentum and opened the pitch for PSV's runners.
He stayed on the front foot, whipping another cross that forced Przemyslaw Tyton into a tip over from Yarek Gąsiorowski's header (59.). The Croatian's set piece shape and early deliveries kept Twente pinned.
The numbers underlined the influence: two assists, four accurate crosses from 14 and three key passes across 71 minutes. Working high on the left, he completed eight final third passes, repeatedly finding targets at the far post.
PSV finish the Eredivisie season top on 84 points, with Perišić's consistency a key thread in their run in.
