Following the conclusion of the final international break of the season, Real Madrid are set to resume their campaign this weekend, when they take on Mallorca.
It promises to be an important game for Kylian Mbappe, who hasn’t really been involved in the team’s success story in the past month or so, owing to injuries.
However, he is still undisputedly Real Madrid’s most impactful player this season, and his return could significantly boost the team’s chances of winning silverware.
Even from an individual perspective, Mbappe is gearing up for an important month ahead, reports MARCA.
The Frenchman is entering a period that could define his first two seasons in the Spanish capital.
While he has already collected a UEFA Super Cup and an Intercontinental Cup, the major honours such as La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League remain missing from his trophy cabinet.
Having chosen Madrid specifically to win everything and follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, the stakes for Mbappé could not be higher as the campaign reaches its climax.

His arrival coincided with a phase of tactical readjustment for Alvaro Arbeloa’s side, which has struggled at times for the consistency of previous years.
Nevertheless, the club find itself in a position to achieve something special. They currently sit just four points adrift of Barcelona in the league standings and are bracing for a heavyweight European quarter-final against Bayern Munich.
For Real Madrid to cross the finish line in first place, they require the version of Mbappe that started the season so explosively.
Despite a staggering tally of 38 goals this term, a recent knee injury significantly hampered his impact at a critical juncture.
With Vinicius Jr. and Fede Valverde in peak form and the return of Jude Bellingham, the French international is the final piece of the puzzle.
