Barcelona forward Vitor Roque looks as if he will be on his way out of the club this summer, albeit the debate over whether that is on a permanent basis or on loan remains alive. Agent Andre Cury has declared the latter impossible, but Barcelona are to push for a loan.
Sporting Director Deco has started to discuss the matter and profile various options, as per Barca Reservat, and one of the preferred options for Deco is Las Palmas, provided they remain in La Liga. The 19-year-old Brazilian would likely have game time on the island, and Deco believes that coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta could be good for him, having worked well with Julian Araujo this season. Garcia Pimienta spent decades in the Barcelona academy, and has implemented a possession-based system at Las Palmas.
Reportedly, Barcelona have received a multitude of offers and enquiries to take Roque on loan this summer. His signing, for €30m plus €31m in variables, at a time of economic weakness, has been roundly criticised, and has turned into a stick to beat both Deco and Xavi Hernandez with. They are still to discuss the matter with Cury.
