After already having renewed the contracts of important players like Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, and Pau Cubarsi, the FC Barcelona Sporting Director Deco is still working on ensuring the renewals of some other important players.
This was clear from how the Blaugranes concluded the one-year extension in the contract of the defender Inigo Martinez on Thursday. Now, the Catalans are expected to address Robert Lewandowski’s contract, but even after that, there will be several players whose contracts are ending in 2026 with whom Deco is negotiating.
There are also three players whose contracts are ending in 2027, but whose renewals the Barcelona official is already planning. Two of these players are Jules Kounde and Raphinha, with whom the first contacts have already taken place.
According to MARCA, another player whose contract is ending in 2027 and whose contract Deco is planning to renew is the Spanish forward Ferran Torres.
There have yet been no contacts with him or his agents so far, but these contacts will take place soon, especially as the Portuguese official understands that he is ready to extend his stay at Barcelona.

Although not a regular starter, Ferran Torres has still been a highly important player for Hansi Flick this season. He has already made 31 appearances this season, starting 10 games, scoring 11 goals, and providing 3 assists. 5 of his goals have come in La Liga, 4 in Copa del Rey, and another 2 in the UCL.
Flick is particularly exploiting his versatility and ability to play across the forward line, but has played the Spaniard mostly as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski whenever he has to rest or rotate the Polish striker.
Meanwhile, the former Manchester City forward himself values the confidence shown in him by Flick, and is focused on keeping giving his best for the team. He recently expressed his satisfaction with his situation at Barcelona in an interview.
