SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Defence Force FC earning a 2-nil win over Cibao FC in Group B on Wednesday at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

The victory booked Defence Force’s spot in the semifinals, becoming the first Trinidadian club ever to beat Cibao FC.

Kevin Molino got Defence Force on the board just two minutes into the match, as his shot from distance took a bounce to get past the goalkeeper.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 46’ when Cassim Keller’s free kick deflected off of Cibao’s Julian Gomez and into his own net.

Cibao FC concludes the Group Stage with a 3-0-1 record and first place in the group. A Dominican Republic side will advance to the Final as Cibao meets O&M FC in the Semifinals.

Defence Force FC secured second place in the group with a 2-1-1 record and a better goal difference than Weymouth Wales FC, who won its encounter over Cavalier FC. Defence Force will face Mount Pleasant FA in the Semifinals.
