MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continues with Defence Force FC hosting Weymouth Wales FC in Group B on Thursday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Defence Force FC is coming off a 2-1 road loss to Cavalier FC, while Weymouth Wales are rolling off a 2-1 win over Juventus des Cayes. Shaquille Stewart netted a brace to cap off the historic moment as it marked the first win for a Barbadian club in Caribbean Cup history.
Both clubs each boast three points, with Wales FC third in the standings on goal difference. A victory would propel either side into the top two with second place Cavalier FC idle in matchweek four.
This will be the first-ever meeting between clubs from Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados in the Caribbean Cup.
Trinidadian clubs have only faced Barbadian opponents twice in official Caribbean club competitions. Both were big wins, with Trintoc taking down Norte Dame 5-nil in 1997, and Joe Public defeating the same opposition 4-nil in 1998.
