Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy revealed Gabriel Osho has returned to training ahead of Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United.

Osho trained on Tuesday as he continues his recovery having missed the last two games, with Barry-Murphy hopeful the defender can be involved this weekend.

The Cardiff boss also provided an update on Krystian Bielik, who arrived from West Brom earlier this week and stressed that the Bluebirds will not rush him.

“We’ve had very relatively positive news, Gabriel Osho trained on Tuesday so hopefully he will continue today,” Barry-Murphy said.

“We haven’t seen a lot of Krystian yet but we’ll see how he is in training and make a judgement.

“As pleased as we are to have him, it’s important we don’t rush him.”

Bielik’s versatility could prove valuable to Cardiff, with Barry-Murphy viewing him as capable of filling two positions.

“No, I don’t,” Barry-Murphy said when asked if he sees Bielik mainly as a central defender.

“The appeal of Krystian is that we see him as adept at playing both as a holding midfielder and as a centre-back, whatever we think is most beneficial for the team.”
