FLW's Birmingham City fan pundit has been discussing the future of Blues winger Keshi Anderson.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
It's expected to be a busy summer on the transfer front at Birmingham City, as the Blues prepare for their return to Championship football.
Brum stormed to the League One title in 2024/25 with an astonishing 111-point haul.
As such, Chris Davies' side will be hopeful of causing some real noise in the second tier next season too, with the club in the ambitious hands of co-owner Tom Wagner.
St Andrew's looks set to say hello and goodbye to numerous players over the next few months, and one of those who could be calling time on their Blues career is Keshi Anderson.
We asked our Birmingham City fan pundit, Aaron Bastable: 'It's likely Blues are going to bolster in wide areas this summer. With this in mind, do you think Birmingham City should keep or offload Keshi Anderson this summer?'
Bastable said: "No. Definitely don't want Keshi to leave.
"I'm not saying I necessarily want him to start every single game, but he has earned his right to be in that squad, and even if he does start games, I won't be disappointed.
"His win-loss ratio in the season we got relegated (23/24) was ridiculous. Games he started, we very rarely lost, but for whatever reason, whatever manager was in charge that season didn't seem to want to play him that much.
"Now, obviously we don't know why, and when he did start getting back in the team towards the end of the season he did a solid job. Last season he was definitely our best winger.
"There were certain games where he was the most important player on the pitch for us. Some fans were shouting for him to be our player of the season. Not for me, but I can understand the argument from some fans as to why they would have that perspective.
"He works hard, and that's what Davies asks from his team. If he trusts you, you've got a chance."
Birmingham City won't be resting on their laurels despite their 84-goal tally leading League One last season.
If Blues want to make a real push for back-to-back promotions next term, then further sharpening their cutting edge will be something that is surely required of the club during the summer transfer window.
Anderson's 12 League One goal contributions were the third-highest of any City player in 2024/25, with just Alfie May (24) and Jay Stansfield (22) ahead of him.
As such, Bastable believes that the 30-year-old has proven his worth to the club, and has earned himself an important role in the side despite the step-up to Championship football next season.
"I think we need wide depth because Emil Hansson was injured all the time, Kieran Dowell played off the right quite a lot - he's left," Bastable continued.
"Ayumu Yokoyama, who was one of the other wide options last season, he wasn't quite what he was lived up to be and what he looked like he was going to be after the first few months.
"Taylor Gardner-Hickman spent some time on the left, but that's not what his best position is or where a team that's trying to compete at the top of table, he should not be anywhere near that position in my opinion.
"So Keshi Anderson has absolutely earned the right to have a full season in the Championship and see how he gets on. It might be that the drop in level was the reason he did well. Hopefully it's not.
"I don't think it is, but he's definitely earned his chance of staying in that team. We definitely do need some reinforcements across that whole front three."
