Bristol City boss Gerhard Struber has addressed reports that Delano Burgzorg could join the Robins from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
Bristol City boss Gerhard Struber has addressed reports that the Robins could sign Delano Burgzorg from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.
Struber's men defeated fellow Championship outfit Watford 5-1 in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie, largely thanks to Emil Riis Jakobsen's hat-trick.
The Ashton Gate club face Oxford United in their next second-tier fixture, while they will also hope for an exciting tie, potentially against a Premier League outfit, in the next round of the cup.
Bristol City have already utilised the transfer window to acquire former Ipswich Town captain Sam Morsy, while George Earthy has returned for another loan spell from West Ham United, and Struber has now discussed the West Country side's interest in Burgzorg.

Riis Jakobsen's hat-trick against Watford showed the attacking quality the Robins already have among their ranks, while Anis Mehmeti has notched eight goals in the Championship this term.
According to the Northern Echo, the Ashton Gate side have eyed a move for Middlesbrough's Burgzorg as they vie to bolster their attack to strengthen their play-off credentials.
The report adds that Boro won't stand in the forward's way, as long as they can source a replacement.
Meanwhile, addressing his side's interest in Burgzorg, Struber told Bristol Live: "I don't read so much from the media. We speak at the moment, and we are in touch with more strikers at the moment.
"But this must be, in the end, a striker (who) is super convinced to be here, and he must be, in the end, a striker who can help the team techincal-tactical-wise, but also mental-wise.
"We are here in exchange with more strikers, and we will see which one decides to jump here and in which direction we decide to bring someone in."

Burgzorg, who primarily operates as a winger, has not been especially prolific for Middlesbrough this term, producing one goal and two assists in 22 Championship appearances.
However, the 27-year-old arguably provided a greater account of himself in the 2023/24 season, when he notched seven goals and two assists in the second tier for a Huddersfield Town outfit who suffered relegation.
The former Mainz man scored six goals across all competitions for Boro last campaign, while he has made just 11 Championship starts this term.
Burgzorg could be a good acquisition for Bristol City, though, as he will be eager to prove himself at a new club, and he can provide competition for the likes of Mehmeti and Scott Twine, who are enjoying successful seasons in the South West.
The Dutchman's versatility means that he can also challenge strikers Sinclair Armstrong and Riis Jakobsen for a spot in Struber's starting 11.
Furthermore, by signing Burgzorg from Middlesbrough, the Robins would weaken one of their promotion rivals.
Boro may have to settle for a play-off spot if Kieran McKenna's Ipswich continue their strong form and beat the North East side to an automatic promotion place.
