Nottingham Forest look to pick up their first three-point haul of the 2026/27 Premier League season, and it may be new boy Liam Delap who has put them on course to do just that.

The former Ipswich standout arrived at City Ground this summer after a torrid spell with capital giants Chelsea in a fresh bid to rehabilitate his young top-flight career and push for a spot in Thomas Tuchel's England set-up.

After failing to find the back of the net against Liverpool and Tottenham, the 23-year-old Delap has finally gotten off the mark for Oliver Glasner's outfit.

The Manchester City academy product hit an absolute thunderbolt past Zion Suzuki to break the deadlock just after the restart, breaking a personal goal drought in the process.

According to the BBC, it was Delap's first goal in any competition since 7 January for Chelsea in a London derby against Fulham.

Was this the first of many this season from a player who is certainly capable in front of goal? Forest fans will certainly hope so.
