Los Angeles FC has officially announced the contract extension of their Gabonese international striker Denis Bouanga. The center forward will continue his adventure with the American club until December 31, 2028, with an option for two additional seasons.

This decision puts an end to weeks of speculation surrounding his future, especially given the interest shown by several clubs, including Fluminense and Inter Miami CF.

Arriving in the summer of 2022 from AS Saint-Étienne, Bouanga quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. He is now the club’s all-time top scorer with 105 goals, along with 43 assists in 155 appearances.

The Gabonese forward has also played a decisive role in LAFC’s triumphs in the MLS Cup and Supporters' Shield, cementing his status as an offensive leader.

The club’s general manager, John Thorrington, praised the extension, highlighting the player’s consistency and impact since his arrival: “Denis has shown an exceptional and consistent level of performance since day one. He has been a major contributor to our success and our titles.”

He added: “This new contract fully reflects the trust we place in him. We are proud of what he has accomplished here and look forward to continuing this winning momentum alongside him.”
