Denise Castro achieved something rarely seen in the history of Chivas Femenil.

With a very important second wind, never more literal, in the final part of the 2025 Apertura, Chivas Femenil has one of the most impressive streaks in the women's circuit: five wins in a row. In cases like this, collective work will always be predominant, but we cannot forget that individual players also play a role.

One of the names that stands out the most, not only for being a pleasant surprise, but also for confirming her quality as a soccer player, is Denise Castro. Born in California, but Mexican through and through, she arrived at the Rebaño Sagrado from American college soccer as another option on offense, and she has certainly delivered.

Denise worked hard and quietly until she earned a spot in coach Antonio Contreras' starting lineup, and she has definitely had an impact on the game, as well as on the scoreboard. She has already scored five goals in four consecutive games, an enviable statistic for any forward, but one that very few can achieve, and here we will explain why.

Besides Castro, there is only one other player who has done this while wearing the Chivas Femenil jersey, and it could be none other than 'Licha' Cervantes. The 'Predator' achieved what Denise has done on five separate occasions! That's right, between AP20 and AP23, Cervantes racked up goals, finding the back of the net at the same rate as her current teammate.

To be precise, Alicia scored seven goals between J1 and J4 of AP20; six between J5 and J8 of CL21; seven between J10 and J13 of CL21 (yes, she did it twice in the same semester); 5 between J1 and J4 of AP21; and 7 between J9 and J12 of AP23. Now, Denise has joined the Rojiblanca top scorers' club, scoring 5 goals between J11 and J14 of AP25.

We are very fortunate to experience the present and future of Guadalajara in the same squad. And make no mistake, Chivahermanos: both will continue to contribute with their goals to take Chivas Femenil to the top.
