Türkiye international striker Deniz Gul, 22, has joined Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish champions, from FC Porto for €10 million on a five-year contract agreed before the window closed.
According to Goal.com, Galatasaray notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) confirming a €10 million fee and a 10 percent sell-on clause for Porto.
Gul arrived in Istanbul by private jet on 1 September 2026, landing at Ataturk Airport to be greeted by club officials and supporters before completing his medical. He will earn a guaranteed net €1.5 million per season.
The forward led fans in a classic chant on arrival, then expressed delight at the move and his eagerness to link up with the squad and supporters at RAMS Park. He said his focus is on starting immediately.
Born in Stockholm to a Turkish father and Swedish mother, Gul came through Swedish academies and impressed for Hammarby IF before joining Porto in August 2024 on a deal running to 2029.
After representing Sweden at Under-19 level, he committed his international future to Türkiye in November 2024 and earned a senior call-up from Vincenzo Montella for UEFA Nations League fixtures in March 2025. He now bolsters Galatasaray’s attack with physicality and top-level European experience.
