Deossa scores in friendly as Vasco wait for Betis' return to complete deal | OneFootball

Nelson Deossa scored in what could have been his final game for Real Betis. According to Globo.com, negotiations with Vasco are advanced.

The Colombian came on at the start of the second half in Saturday's 3-0 friendly win over German fourth-tier side Sportfreunde Lotte. Used as a centre forward, he won a penalty and converted, then chose not to celebrate.

Betis are in Germany for the first part of pre-season, based in Lotte, around four hours from Berlin. The squad are due to return to Spain on Saturday night, and Vasco expect to finalise the deal once the Betis hierarchy are back home.

Vasco sent the transfer documents and financial guarantees on Thursday. Betis have been reviewing them since, so Deossa has not yet been cleared to travel to Rio de Janeiro.

The operation is a loan with an obligation to buy set at 10 million euros (R$ 58.5 million), rising to 12 million with bonuses (R$ 70 million). Payments are scheduled in instalments starting next year.

The move will be backed by businessman Marcos Lamacchia, who is in advanced talks to acquire the SAF. Deossa has accepted the salary terms and to join Vasco, but he continues Betis pre-season until the situation is resolved.
