Departing Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz has been holidaying in Ibiza amid uncertainty over his future, with opinion still split on what to do with him at Juventus.
Luiz left Aston Villa for Juventus in the summer of 2024, with Villa forced to cash in on the midfielder due to PSR worries.
However, the switch from the Premier League to Serie A has not been great for the 28-year-old midfielder, as in his first season with the Old Lady, he only made 27 appearances in all competitions and was sidelined due to multiple injuries.

This term, in the first half of the season, he was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest and in the second half of the season, he returned to Aston Villa once again on loan.
There was talk of Aston Villa keeping him, but Unai Emery’s side believe the €25m option to buy in the loan agreement is too high.

At the end of this month, Luiz’s loan at Aston Villa will expire and he will be due back at Juventus.
Luiz is currently holidaying in Ibiza as he recovers from the season, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tutto Juve), and there is big uncertainty over his future.
Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti wants to assess Luiz over the course of pre-season as he believes the midfielder could still have a role in Turin.
Some at the Turin side though feel Luiz should be sold this summer.

It is unclear if Aston Villa might once again become an option for Luiz at some point this summer, as Emery will need squad depth.
Luiz is a well-known commodity at Villa Park and at the right price, the club could be tempted to bring him back.
If Spalletti has his way then Luiz will be given an opportunity to make an impression over the course of pre-season at Juventus.
Last month, Turkish giants Galatasaray enquired about the availability of Luiz, but since then, anything concrete has yet to be confirmed, and his future hangs in the balance.
Aston Villa enjoyed a brilliant season under Emery, winning the Europa League and also securing Champions League football.
