Deportivo Alavés ‘to ask’ €15m for Toni Martínez, with the in-form striker almost certain to attract offers after a breakout season. Marca states that Alavés have set the valuation for any clubs enquiring about the Valencia academy graduate.
The Basque club signed him for a little over €2m, so any bid meeting their price could deliver one of their best recent deals, combining a top campaign with a sizeable profit.
After a prolific stint in Portugal, Martínez returned to Spain about two years ago to test himself in LaLiga. He has become a key piece first under Chacho Coudet, now for Quique Sánchez Flores.
In LaLiga 2025/26 he has around five goals and two assists in more than 25 matches, close to 0.25 goals per game. Across all competitions he is on nine goals in about 30 appearances, among Alavés’s leading scorers.
Standing 1.87m, he operates as a reference striker, pins centre-backs and thrives on deliveries from wide. About 75 percent of his goals arrive inside the box, and he is a factor in the air.
His standout display came days ago in the 3-4 comeback at Celta, when Alavés trailed 3-0. Martínez struck twice and laid on one, highlighting both output and influence.
