Deportivo Madryn opened with a 2-1 defeat at Colón in Santa Fe, a tough assignment that underlined more about performance than scoreline.

According to SuperDepor.com, Colón took charge from the start, pressed high and punished a build-up error, with Cano teeing up Alan Bonasea to set the early tone. Madryn were slow to settle, struggled in midfield and leaned on inaccurate long balls, their play lacking cohesion and fluency.

There were no efforts on goal in the first half. The first attempt arrived after the break, Ezequiel Montagna shooting over, and while the visitors showed endeavour, clarity was missing. Mauricio Cuero seldom found joy wide and Nazareno Solís could not knit attacks together.

Colón’s second came on the counter, Julián Marcioni drilling in from outside the box. Cristian Díaz went to his bench early and used his changes in search of a spark, but the pattern barely shifted. A late reply offered scant consolation, Cuero crossing for Luis Silba to head in.

This was a flat collective display, marked by errors in the first phase, difficulty retaining possession and little threat in the final third. Context matters, with a leading rival, a full stadium and opening-day pressure, and the season is long.

Now it is about adjustments and honest review. The trip to Morón demands a sturdier version, and it also offers the chance to show this was an early stumble rather than a true measure of potential.
