Derby County are eyeing West Brom‘s Mikey Johnston and Ipswich Town’s Anis Mehmeti, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Rams have been backing John Eustace in the market and want to strengthen further before the transfer window slams shut.
Experienced midfielder Alex Mowatt was recently landed from West Brom, although there has been uncertainty on the fee paid by the Rams, while Sammie Szmodics was another eye-catching arrival.
Now Derby want to raid the Baggies again and this time have their eyes set on winger Johnston.
He is wanted along with Ipswich’s Mehmeti, but it remains unclear whether either player will move before the window closes, while even if they do, Derby will face substantial competition for the pair.

Eustace though has his eyes on them as he looks to equip Derby for a promotion tilt this season.
The Rams lost their Championship opener at Nathan Jones’ Charlton Athletic, while they were also dumped out of the EFL Cup by Lincoln City.
Eustace saw his side pick up their first point of the campaign on Saturday, with a 2-2 draw at home against Cardiff City.
Attacking target Johnston made 37 appearances for West Brom over the course of last season, finding the back of the net twice and providing nine assists for his team-mates.

He almost moved to Brazil in last summer’s transfer window, with Flamengo having worked on a move but then pulled out due to injury concerns.
West Brom closed the door on selling Johnston in the winter transfer window earlier this year, despite interest in him from Sheffield United.
Mehmeti made a move to Ipswich in the winter transfer window earlier this year, joining from Bristol City for a fee of around £3.5m.
It is unclear how much the Tractor Boys might want to part with the attacking midfielder this summer and whether a loan might be considered, especially as he penned a deal running until 2029 at Portman Road.
West Brom are in action this afternoon at home against Burnley and all eyes will be on if Johnston starts, which was not the case last weekend at Norwich City.
