Derby feel in the Loire for Kango, Hamdani and OL reserves | OneFootball

OL’s reserves visit Feurs on Saturday in N2, a Loire derby in feel, with several youngsters from last season’s first-team group still involved.

Le Progres notes that despite fielding seven players who trained or featured with the first team last season, OL were held 0-0 at home by Bourgoin-Jallieu in their opener. The Isère neighbours are considered a reliable Group F side, and it was a useful test before facing Feurs, who won on matchday one.

Mathys De Carvalho, in the process of a transfer to Saudi Arabia, and Rémi Himbert, involved for OL v Auxerre, are not in Gueïda Fofana and Samy Saci’s squad.

Even so, Steeve Kango, Noham Kamara, Adil Hamdani, Tiago Goncalves and Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez remain in contention for the mini-derby.

The reserves still look competitive, helped by a deeper first-team squad after the summer transfer window closed.
