Derby County’s under-19’s made history on Tuesday as they beat German giants Borussia Dortmund to qualify for the last 16 of the Uefa Youth League.
Derby stunned English football last season when they unexpectedly claimed the U-18 Premier League title, beating the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
And that put them into the youth equivalent of the Champions League alongside the giants of the game.
Now the Rams will be in Friday’s draw for the last 16 after they beat Dortmund 3-1 at Pride Park with Louie Sibley’s 95th strike sealing a famous victory.
They will be joined in the pot by Ajax, Atlanta, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Inter, Juventus, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Astonishing.
