SportBild are reporting that Derrick Köhn of Hannover 96 is an option to replace the outgoing Ramy Bensebaini at left-back for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The 24-year-old joined Hannover in the summer from Willem II in the Netherlands and has gone on to play all 21 games for Hannover in the 2. Bundesliga, assisting four times and scoring twice as well. Köhn’s contract expires in 2025 and he is currently valued at €1.50m
Gladbach are watching Köhn as Ramy Bensebaini is set to leave Gladbach at the end of the season and join Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer.
In their ranks, Gladbach also have Luca Netz who they signed from Hertha Berlin for €2m a year and a half ago. The future of Netz may be brought into question if Köhn is brought in as the starter for Gladbach as during his brief appearances for Gladbach, Netz has shown he can hold his own.
