Despite mega offers: Bayern „not thinking for a second“ about selling Olise

Michael Olise is currently one of the hottest properties in world soccer – but nobody at FC Bayern is even thinking about selling him. Chief Sporting Officer Max Eberl has now made it clear how the Munich club is dealing with the ongoing transfer rumours.

Reports have recently made the rounds that interested clubs such as Liverpool FC or Real Madrid could pay more than 200 million euros for the winger. However, Munich are unimpressed. „We are not giving it a second thought,“ explained Eberl in the ZDF sports studio, making it clear that the Frenchman’s departure is not an issue.

The 24-year-old has „developed outstandingly“ at the record champions and is a central component of the current team – statements that underline the importance Olise now enjoys internally.

Transfer bull’s eye confirmed

The move from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 for around 53 million euros has long since proven to be a stroke of luck. Olise is playing an outstanding season and consistently delivering at the highest level.

With 48 goals in 46 competitive games, he is one of the most productive attacking players in Europe. His ease of play is particularly striking. „He makes everything look so easy,“ enthused Eberl.

Bayern are also well protected contractually: Olise is still under contract until 2029 and there is no exit clause.

This means that Munich have full control over the future of their attacking star – and can look forward to transfer offers with confidence.

Hoeneß underpins Bayern’s stance

Honorary President Uli Hoeneß had already set out a clear line beforehand: for him, sporting success takes precedence over possible record transfer revenues.

„We are playing this game for our fans. It is of little use to them if we have 200 million in our account and play poor soccer every Saturday,“ emphasized the 74-year-old.

Real Madrid and Liverpool FC in particular have been repeatedly linked with Olise, and both clubs could be prepared to dig deep into their pockets in the summer.

But at Säbener Straße, the message is clear: Michael Olise is not for sale.
