An insight into the plans of the transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona for the January window has this weekend been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, and points towards a quiet winter as being in store for the Blaugrana.

Chatter surrounding potential mid-season reinforcements to Hansi Flick’s squad has of course long been widespread amongst the Barcelona faithful.

This comes amid the hope that the club’s subdued activity during the summer will open the door for a more lively window in January.

If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, however, then no such plans have been put in place.

In fact, amid what has proven a scintillating start to the campaign on the part of La Liga table-toppers Barca, Relevo conclude that ‘no activity is expected in the winter transfer market’.

Blaugrana sporting director Deco, instead, is set to concentrate on contract renewals, amid ongoing efforts to tie the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araújo down for the long-term.
