Details: Karim Adeyemi’s Barcelona wages & Dortmund’s considerable sell-on clause | OneFootball

Some of the finer details of the agreement reached between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Karim Adeyemi have come to the fore on Friday evening.

This comes amid confirmation that the latter have managed to secure a signficant sell-on clause as part of the operation.

Attacker Adeyemi has of course dominated the headlines across Europe over the course of the day to date. After a quick-fire round of negotiations between the parties, Barcelona struck an agreement with German heavyweights Dortmund to bring the 24-year-old to the Spotify Camp Nou for next season.

BVB, as expected, agreed to a cut-price sale, ahead of the expiration of Adeyemi’s contract terms at Signal Iduna Park in 12 months’ time. The fee involved comes in at €31 million, made up of €22m fixed, and €9 million in add-ons.

The Bundesliga outfit, though, made sure to look towards the future as part of the terms of the agreement, too…

As revealed by transfer journalist Patrick Berger of Sky, Dortmund have secured a hefty 35% sell-on clause. Should Adeyemi be sold by Barcelona in the future, they will in turn be entitled to over a third of the transfer fee.

Finally, the versatile winger’s contract terms have been revealed: A five-year deal worth €6 million net per season.
